ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಂತೂರ್ ವಾದಕ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಶರ್ಮ ನಿಧನ : ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಸೇರಿ ಗಣ್ಯರ ಸಂತಾಪ
ಸುದ್ದಿದಿನ ಡೆಸ್ಕ್ : ಹಿಂದೂಸ್ತಾನಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಲೋಕದ ದಂತಕತೆ, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಂತೂರ್ ವಾದಕ ಪಂಡಿತ್ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಶರ್ಮ ಅವರು ಮುಂಬೈನಲ್ಲಿಂದು ನಿಧನರಾದರು.
ಅವರಿಗೆ 84ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಾಗಿತ್ತು.ಕಳೆದ 6ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಮೂತ್ರಪಿಂಡ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಹೃದಯಸ್ಥಂಭನದಿಂದ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮೂಲಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿವೆ. ಜಮ್ಮು ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ 1938ರ ಜನವರಿ 13ರಂದು ಜನಿಸಿದ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ ಶರ್ಮ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯನ ಮತ್ತು ತಬಲ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕಲಿಯಲು ತೊಡಗಿದರೂ, ನಂತರ ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದ ದೇಸಿವಾದ್ಯ ಸಂತೂರ್ನತ್ತ ಆಕರ್ಷಿತರಾದರು.
Our cultural world is poorer with the demise of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma Ji. He popularised the Santoor at a global level. His music will continue to enthral the coming generations. I fondly remember my interactions with him. Condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.
